Cheese from North Holland has had an outstanding reputation for centuries. The influence of the sea wind on the grasslands results in soil with a hint of saltiness. This affects the milk, which is naturally creamier, which also characterizes the cheese made from it.

Noord-Hollandse Gouda is naturally less salty than most other Gouda cheeses, but always offers a rich flavor and intense creaminess. Made from 100% pasture-raised milk, this cheese carries the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) seal, recognized by the European Union.
